Deputy Director - Education Industry ( Near Botanic Garden) - Singapore

To develop and oversee new programs and projects in competitiveness studies that can provide strategic inputs to public policy development in ASEAN
To work with regional partners in defining and executing research and policy advisory projects
To deliver policy advice to regional governments that have strategic impacts on their economic development and competitiveness
To work with partners to raise the funds and resources to deliver the projects
To represent school and project its vision to potential partners
To work towards improving the quality of existing activities
Assist in other projects as directed by the Director
Recommend strategic directions for research
Identify areas of research strength within School and recommend policies and procedures to manage and promote such areas
Ensure that mechanisms and funding opportunities are in place to nurture and develop the centre to greater heights; ensure that appropriate quality assurance policies and procedures are developed, implemented and monitored
upervise and coordinate large funding applications which are appropriately coordinated at senior levels
Establish mechanisms to guarantee that all projects are carried out in accordance with ethical guidelines and legal requirements
Assist in the selection, development and management of staff
Seek and promote opportunities for national and international collaboration in research
Promote and advance the reputation through interaction with business, government, non-governmental organizations and the broader community, nationally and internationally.

Requirements: A good Master's degree in an appropriate discipline with the requisite consulting and advisory experience at a senior level OR a good PhD in an appropriate discipline with demonstrated project management and advisory work with senior executives
Demonstrated leadership and team-building in collaborative, multidisciplinary environments
Strong analytical, methodological and conceptual skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Effective interpersonal skills that contribute to strong team processes
