Details: Full time experienced native EFL teacher required for January 7th 2009 start to teach mainly young learners (age 5+), teenagers and some adult and business classes. Levels range from complete beginner to advanced. Candidates should have experience teaching children, teenagers and adults. The contract runs to 30th June 2009 and is to teach up to 25 contact hours a week. Classes are mainly in the afternoon (from 4pm) with some morning classes. The emphasis is on communicative methodology and students are prepared for Trinity College exams. Teachers are offered initial in-house training and continuous professional development and support.
LOCATION: Melilla is a small Spanish enclave located on the North African coast surrounded by Morocco. It has a population of about 70,000 and is comprised of four cultures: Christian, Muslim, Jewish and Hindu. The town boasts a fort and old town dating from the 15th century, a town centre with impressive modernist architecture and a European blue flag beach.
Morocco is just 10 minutes away (EU citizens do not require a visa to cross the border) and the surrounding area offers unspoilt beaches, mountains and authentic Moroccan towns and villages. Spanish mainland is easily accessible – Málaga is 45 minutes away by plane and 8 hours by ferry and Almería is 40 minutes by plane and 6 hours by ferry.

- Native speaker with EU passport or valid Spanish work permit;
- Degree;
- Recognised TEFL qualification;
- 1 year teaching experience of a wide range of levels and ages;
- Experience teaching young learners;
- Experience of Trinity College exam preparation an advantage;
- Knowledge of Spanish valued;
- Must be able to provide 2 recent references;
- Professional attitude, flexibility and ability to work within a team.
Compensation:
- Excellent salary package of 1,200 euro net per month;
- End of contract bonus on successful completion of contract;
