Editor – English Language Textbooks - Oman

Work Location: Sultanate of Oman
Contract to start from: January 2011
Contract Period end: March 2012

Qualifications and Experience Required:
BA with PGCE or TEFL Diploma
B.Ed with TEFL Diploma
MA (Applied Linguistics or TEFL)
Experience of teaching English as a second or foreign language
5 years working experience as an Editor
Fully versed in DTP
Comfortable user of Mac Computers
A thorough understanding of Quark Xpress, Photoshop, etc
Knowledge and experience of other software will be an advantage.
Essential: Driving License

Salary and Benefits:
Rial Omani 1,800 per month (1 Rial Omani = $2.6)
(water, gas, electricity charges and any end of contract gratuity as well as allowances are included in the above salary)
Annual return economy class air tickets from country of destination to Muscat to employee, non-working spouse and up to 3 children
Suitable furnished air-conditioned accommodation
Free health care whilst in the country at government hospitals to employee, non-working spouse and up to 3 children
Baggage allowance of RO 80/- at the beginning and at the end of the contract.
Insurance against accident and death for the benefit of RO 5,000 each to employee, non-working spouse and up to 3 children
A maximum of 48 calendar days annual leave per year
